FEWD and the Danube Region:
The FEWD cooperates in different ways with several Danube region based organisations / networks:

Absolut basic source is the EU Strategy for the Danube Region - EUSDR This is a macro-regional strategy adopted by the European Commission in December 2010 and endorsed by the European Council in 2011.  The Strategy was jointly developed by the Commission, together with the Danube Region countries and stakeholders, in order to address common challenges together. The Strategy seeks to create synergies and coordination between existing policies and initiatives taking place across the Danube Region. Priority Area 10 "Institutional Capacities & Cooperation" is coordinated by the City of Vienna (Austria) and the Centre for European Perspective (Slovenia). https://capacitycooperation.danube-region.eu/

DCSF - Danube Civil Society Forum - platform under the EUSDR. c/o Foster Europe, Foundation for strong European Regions, Schloss Esterházy A-7000 Eisenstadt 

The Danube Participation Days, organized by the DCFS have been developed by representatives of organized civil society and local stakeholders, supported by Priority Area 10 Institutional Capacity and Cooperation (PA10).

And last but definitly not least - the also Vienna based IDM as maybe the most important research center with focus on the Danube region , see  Institut für den Donauraum und Mitteleuropa,
